✨ Garage Conversion ✨
~ P L A Y R O O M Edition ~
When a impulsive idea comes to life 🔨
This is my home- I had the idea of splitting the garage space in half to lend more room into the house 🏡
With x2 kids and the endless toys I thought it would be a good investment and give us more room within the home ✏️
This whole thing started at 9pm one night. I had to dismantle many units and storage racks I have made over the years ready for the project 🔨
Many things were also thrown away or sold to give us the room
The new garage was carried out first to get things organised- wall and base units were re fitted in new positions and old storage racks modified and re fit all into their new spots 🪚
The playroom space was converted with a new insulated floor, insulated studwalls, doorway removed and re done with a window 🔨
Kitchen wall joining the house was tactically knocked through in the only spot it would work- with x2 lintels installed above, giving a large walkway 🔨
Electrics throughout and plastered ⚡️
Bespoke made architraves and skirting to match the rest of the house, floor matched to the kitchen, and all decorated and kitted out 🎨
And of course endless finishing jobs 🫠
X2 trips to ikea later - the purchases were toy box units and a large sofa bed for the kids. Option for guests to stay over when folded out to a bed 🛌
The new garage space has now had its many evenings of final touches to give storage to the buisness and family 🔨
After weeks of working until midnight, weekends and any chance I had to push the job on, it’s finally done 😮💨
