🥚 Should imported food have to meet the same standards as British produce?

Imported eggs have been linked to a salmonella outbreak involving 207 cases across the UK, with 38% of those affected admitted to hospital and one death associated with the outbreak.

The Food Standards Agency is advising businesses to source UK hen eggs as best practice to minimise the risk of salmonella.
