A Cut Above We are a qualified, professional team of Arborists based in Ottershaw, working across Surrey & Berks We take pride in our work, as we love what we do.

We are a trained and professional team who deal with all aspects of arboriculture, tree surgery and landscaping. We aim to provide a reliable, cost effective service, at the same time as giving advice on how best to care for your trees & garden. We work with domestic clients in household gardens with individual trees, as well as local authorities and community groups, commercial clients, such as p

roperty management companies, housing developers, businesses premises, large estates and golf clubs. We have lots of experience in woodland management and forestry clearance and we are well equipped to deal with harvesting timber and woodchip for sale. Around 75% of our work comes from recommendations or repeat customers. We believe the reason we have such a good recommendation rate for both commercial and domestic contracts is because we take huge pride in our name, we are able to adapt to our clients requirements and we ensure our staff and processes are efficient, as well as compliant. We really do like to go A Cut Above and give our clients no reason to look elsewhere.

Tonight, we had the privilege of attending the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Eikon – an incredible evening celebrating three decades of changing the lives of young people across Surrey.

A huge congratulations to Chris Hickford MBE on everything you have built. Thirty years of dedication, compassion and unwavering belief in young people is something to be incredibly proud of. The number of lives you’ve touched is impossible to measure.

For us, Eikon’s story is also a personal one.

Long before A Cut Above existed, Andrew was one of those young people who benefited from having someone in his corner. Chris was there during his school years, offering support when it mattered most… and, the occasional motivational jab with a compass to keep him on track! 😄

Jokes aside, having someone who believed in him during those formative years made a lasting difference. It’s not an exaggeration to say that without Chris’ guidance and encouragement, Andrew’s path could have looked very different.

It’s a powerful reminder that you never truly know the impact a little time, belief and support can have on someone’s future.

Thank you, Chris (and the wider team of people who now form Eikon), for everything you’ve done, not just for Andrew, but for the thousands of young people whose lives you’ve helped shape over the last 30 years.

Here’s to the next 30 and we are already looking forward to helping in any way we can in the future. 💙 The Eikon Charity
