**DELIVERY ANNOUNCMENT**

Due to the ever increasing fuel costs, we’ve had to look at some alternate ideas for timber deliveries, today is the first trial for our oldest cow Dotty, please be patient if you need a delivery we would appreciate 4 days notice, as this is the time it will take to get to you. She’s quite efficient at 34mpg (that’s miles per grass)

Dotty isn’t keen on cattle grids, she mumbled something about milkshake….She also doesn’t like going up hills…again mumbled something about not liking it when the steaks are too high, and finally look out on blind corners, this one has no horn 😏😏

We have been asked allot recently for green treated timber, whether it’s been from a grant perspective - some grants wont cover the use of creosoted products, or even just the price perspective, or even short term FBT’s.

It’s taken me some time and patience to find something i am happy selling, but I have managed to source these pine peeled and pointed stakes from Germany, good quality timber and a decent thickness. Treated in UK to a UC4/HC4 standard, the highest standard for green treated timber.

Delivery as usual available aswell as with all our creosoted products.

This year we celebrated 16 years in business, ‘Rokwood Fuels’ was established in 2007 with myself aged 18, I had a very small amount of money saved from cutting grass and working in a local pub, so I bought an old Toyota hilux pickup from a backstreet in Ashington, was given a second hand pair of chainsaw trousers that had been outgrown by a wise man of the woods, a chainsaw, fuel can and file that was kindly gifted from my father, a brand new Oregon splitting axe purchased from Robson and Cowan and i set on my way with the ‘he who dares wins’ attitude, there’s been some ups and downs that’s for sure! With the business taking a different turn in 2021 due to ongoing health issue’s, we now concentrate on the import and distribution of creosoted agricultural fencing products as ‘Rokwood Timber’

I have been looking through some old photos, and fondly remembering the delivery vehicles over the years, there’s about 4 more I can’t find pictures off, but you’ll get the idea. Currently now running the hilux and my favourite, the landcruiser which is funnily enough older than the first vehicle I had 16 years ago.
