🚧 Site Progress - Garreg Lwyd Development 🚧
Significant progress at Garreg Lwyd, where we're delivering the full civils and infrastructure package to service a 10-plot residential development.
The Section 185 main sewer diversion and Section 104 adoptable drainage network and lateral drains are now nearing completion, with construction of the Section 38 highway soakaways underway.
The drainage package alone includes:
● Approximately 150 metres of new and diverted sewer and adoptable drainage pipework, including the 225mm diameter main sewer diversion.
● 8 no. main sewer chambers and 8 no. lateral inspection chambers serving the development.
● 3 no. highway soakaways, each specified at 4.2 metres deep, incorporating 1.5m diameter precast concrete rings and stone-filled infiltration areas.
● 7 no. highway gully connections feeding a soakaway system designed to accomodate a 1-in-30-year storm event.
Delivering these works involves deep excavations, temporary excavation support, connections into the existing sewer network and careful control of drainage levels and gradients across the sloping site. Our wider package includes water, electricity and fibre infrastructure, street lighting, adopted highway construction and road surfacing- providing the essential services and access for the future homes.
It's great to see the site taking shape, and thank you to our team, subcontractors and supply chain for their continued hard work.
