Introducing our new Site Manager… 🐾

Having recently completed her training, she is now fully qualified to assess all site visits from a safe distance.
Her specialist skills include:
• Supervising from the van
• Checking everyone arrives on time
• Monitoring lunch breaks
• Providing an immediate assessment of anyone approaching the vehicle
Unfortunately, she currently refuses to complete any paperwork.

Garage roof replacement completed this week 🔨
The existing Onduline roof sheets and old plywood underneath were stripped off, taking the roof back to the structure.
We then installed new plywood, roofing membrane, new Onduline sheets and finished it off with new ridge sections.
A much smarter finish, but more importantly, the garage is properly weatherproof again and ready for the years ahead.
Another example of the wider property maintenance and improvement work we undertake at Charmley Property Services.

**Introducing Charmley Property Services.**

Today marks the official start of a new chapter.

Oswestry Handyman has grown considerably over the years, both in the type of work we take on and the service we now provide. The old name simply no longer reflected everything the business had become.

So from today, we are **Charmley Property Services**.

A new name.
A new look.
But the same people, the same local service and the same commitment to doing the job properly.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Oswestry Handyman and helped us reach this point.

We’re really excited about what comes next.

**A little goodbye to Oswestry Handyman.**

This weekend marks the end of a name that has been a big part of my working life.

Oswestry Handyman started out as a simple idea — provide a reliable local service, turn up when I said I would, do the job properly and build things from there.

Over time, the jobs got bigger, the range of work grew, Jack came on board, and the business gradually became far more than the name “Handyman” really suggested.

There have been hundreds of jobs, plenty of challenges, a lot of lessons learned and, most importantly, some fantastic customers who have trusted us in their homes and recommended us to others.

So before the old name disappears, I just wanted to say **thank you**.

Thank you to everyone who has booked us, recommended us, shared a post, left a review or simply supported the business along the way.

Oswestry Handyman may be coming to an end, but everything that made it what it was is coming with us.

On Monday, the next chapter begins.

You may have noticed a little something changing… 👀

After many years trading as Oswestry Handyman, the time has come for the business to take its next step.

From September, we’ll be becoming Charmley Property Services.

Why the change?

Quite simply, the business has grown. What started as a handyman service has developed into something much broader – from patios, fencing and decorating to property maintenance, improvements and work for local landlords and estate agents.

And increasingly, it isn't just me either. Jack has become a big part of the business, so Charmley feels like the right name for where we're heading – a local, family business that can continue to grow.

The name might be changing, but everything else stays the same: same people, same service, same commitment to doing a proper job.

There’s plenty more to come over the next few weeks, but for now… here's a little glimpse of the new colours out in the wild! 💚

Another patio transformation completed ✅

This one was at a new-build property where the existing patio was just a little too small for the space.

We lifted the original slabs and **reused them to create a solid base for the customer’s shed**, before preparing and laying a much larger new patio area with new slabs.

The digging was certainly hard work after around **8 weeks of baking sunshine** — the ground was absolutely solid! ☀️😅

A much more practical outdoor space now, with the old materials put to good use rather than wasted.

Another job ticked off and another happy customer. 👍

You may notice the van is looking a little different… 👀

A few changes are starting to appear.

Big thanks to NowGroup.co.uk for bringing the new van branding to life.

More soon.
