🔥 Beautiful Fireplace Transformation Completed ✨

We’re thrilled to share this latest project for one of our valued customers at Edwards Developments Ltd!

Before – The original ornate fireplace, beautifully dressed with candles and lighting. A classic look, but the client wanted a fresher, more characterful update.

During – Stripping it all back! We carefully removed the old surround, exposed the original brickwork, and installed this stunning solid oak beam.

After – The finished result! The natural oak beam now sits perfectly above the exposed stonework, creating a lighter, warmer and more modern focal point in the living room.
We love how this transformation has completely lifted the space while keeping that cosy, homely feel.

🏗️ Week 7 Update – Roof Fully Complete!
What a week! ✅

The new extension roof is now fully tiled and finished, it looks fantastic and perfectly matches the existing house.

The transformation from the front is really starting to impress!

Scaffold will be dismantled next week, which is always another big milestone.

Inside, the floor structure is progressing well with new joists now in place.

Can’t wait to see the difference once the scaffold comes down, Week 8 is going to look very different!

🏗️ Weeks 5 & 6 Update – Roof is Tiled & Major Internal Works Done!

We’ve had two very productive weeks on site! ✅

The new extension roof is now fully tiled and looking fantastic, it blends beautifully with the existing house and has completely transformed the front elevation.

Inside, we’ve carried out full demolition of the old kitchen and W.C., removed the old floor, installed a new steel beam (RSJ), and the new floor joists are now in place.

🏗️ Week 4 Update – Big Progress Inside & Out!
Another strong week on site! ✅

We’ve carried out the full internal demolition of the existing kitchen and W.C., opening up the space ready for the new layout.

At the same time, the new roof rafters have been fully installed across the extension, giving us a clear view of the new roofline.

The structure is really coming together now, and it’s starting to feel like a proper transformation.

Huge credit to the team for pushing through both the external roof work and the internal demo so efficiently.

Next steps are to have all the brickwork built up & start with the knock through. Watch this space!

🏗️ Week 3 Update – Scaffold is UP!

Great progress on site this week! The extension is really starting to take shape, and we’ve now got the full scaffolding erected and fully secured, ready for the roof installation to begin.

It’s always a big milestone seeing the scaffold go up, suddenly you can really visualise the new roofline and how it’s all going to look when it’s finished.

The team has been working hard on the brickwork and structural elements, and we’re all set for the Joiners to get started next week. Exciting times ahead!

🏗️ Flying Through Week 2!

Things are moving fast at our Oak Tree Meadow project! The Edwards Developments team has been absolutely smashing it this week.

As you can see from the photos, we’ve made a massive dent in the groundworks and the new walls are already starting to climb.

A huge shoutout to the lads on site, their pace and quality are top-tier. We’re excited to keep this momentum going as we head into Week 3!

Following on from our previous video, we previously announced that Thursday 30th April would be our final working day before transitioning into full-time self-employment with RC Van Locks.
