TQ Environmental partnered with Macduff's Shellfish in Scotland to protect their expanding seafood processing operations with comprehensive ammonia leak detection.

The Facility

Large scale shellfish processing with extensive ammonia refrigeration equipment. Multiple zones requiring monitoring including plant rooms and factory floor areas where employees and visitors work daily.

Phase One: 88 Point System

TQ8000 control panel with ATEX rated TQ122 ammonia sensors. Detection ranges from 0 to 100ppm for early warning through to 0 to 30,000ppm for flammable levels. Traffic light beacons positioned around plant rooms change from green to warning colours with audible alarms based on ammonia concentration. Factory sounders alert staff in areas without visual beacon coverage.

Phase Two: Expansion

As operations grew, a 48 point TQ8000 Touch system was added. Advanced touchscreen control with data logging capability. Total site protection now covers 136 monitoring points under centralised control.
