Extension Update – Things Are Moving Along Nicely! 🏗️

The extension is now up, and we’re getting ready to move into the next stage of the project, with first-fix carpentry about to get underway.

The focus now is getting the structure progressing, pushing towards becoming watertight and making sure we can keep the momentum going on site. Once we’ve got everything sealed up, we can really crack on with the internal works and start bringing all the different trades together.

As always, there’s plenty going on behind the scenes to keep everything moving in the right direction. It’s all about getting the key stages completed, keeping the programme on track and making sure the team can get stuck into the next phase without holding anything up.

Another good milestone ticked off, with plenty more to come as we continue to push this one forward. Time to get it watertight and crack on! 💪

Catch-up time on the gym refurbishment! 🏗️

There’s a lot going on across the project at the moment, and you can really start to see everything coming together. The teams have been pushing hard across multiple areas, with plastering, plumbing, tiling, carpentry, tanking and screeding all progressing at pace.

With so many different trades working together, coordination is key, and the work being delivered by everyone involved has been brilliant. Each stage is starting to transform the spaces and bring us another step closer to the finished gym.

There’s still plenty to get through, but now it’s time to really hit this project hard, keep the momentum going and get it turned around

It’s time for the big one! This Saturday, the Romford Buccaneers take on the Chelmsford Chieftains at home, and you know this one is going to be a good one!

Team Tranquil will be heading down to support the boys and get behind them from the stands. After a few pretty feisty games lately, Saturday is shaping up to be an exciting one. Make sure you get down to the Sapphire and watch the boys go head-to-head!

1 in all… that’s the word on the street when someone mentions Caribbean for lunch! 🇯🇲

Even on a busy site, the team have to make time for a well-deserved lunch break, and when Caribbean food is on the cards, there’s suddenly no shortage of volunteers! 😂

A proper sit-down, some good food and a chance to recharge before getting back to it. The days can be long and the workload doesn’t stop, so making the most of that lunch break is important.

Good food, good company and a quick reset before the tools come back out — that’s how we do lunch at Tranquil. 🛠️

Catch-up time on the gym refurbishment!

There’s been plenty going on behind the scenes, and we’ve got lots to show you. The project is really starting to come together now, with the team cracking on across different areas and plenty more still to get through before we can call this one finished.

From the ongoing refurbishment works to all the finishing details, there’s a lot happening on site, so keep an eye out as we take you through the progress and show you what the boys have been getting up to.

And that’s not all… we’ve also got some exciting tiling content coming from another project we started earlier this year. 👀

🔥 LOOK AT THE TEAM!

How good do the boys look? New helmets, gloves, tracksuits and, of course, topping it all off with the Tranquil Construction logo proudly sitting on the front of the new jersey.

It’s great to see the team looking the part, and we’re proud to be supporting the Buccaneers this season and backing local ice hockey.

Make sure you keep an eye out for the upcoming home fixtures — and especially the 10th, when the boys take on Chelmsford in what’s set to be a cracking local derby.

Chelmsford stole the win in overtime last time around, so there’s certainly unfinished business going into this one!

Catching up at Gouldwells…

Another site, another progress update, and another reminder of just how much goes on behind the scenes to get these videos looking effortless! 😂

The works at Gouldwells are moving along nicely, with plenty happening across the site, so we thought it was time for another catch-up and a look at the progress.

Of course, what you see is the polished 30-second version… what you don’t see is how long it actually takes Alex and the team at Teel Media to shoot it! Multiple takes, different angles, walking backwards, forgetting what we’re saying… you name it! 😂

It’s a door kinda day on site, with the boys cracking on with re-lipping some of the existing doors ready for installation.

Not the most exciting job and definitely one of those more tedious tasks, but getting these details right is what makes the finished product look the part. A bit of preparation now means a much better finish when everything is finally installed.

Another job ticking along nicely and another step closer to getting this project finished.

Brickwork is the starting point for any extension, and getting the details right from day one is what makes the finished project come together.

Matching the existing brickwork, getting the bond, lines, levels and detailing right is key when you’re blending a new extension into an existing property.

When the workmanship and attention to detail come together like this, you start to see just how good the finished result is going to look.

22 seconds of brickwork… if only every extension was this quick! 😂

A little sped-up look at the progress on site as the brickwork comes together, including pad stones, lintels and steels all being installed and getting this extension another step closer to being watertight.

There’s a lot more that goes into these few seconds than meets the eye — getting everything set out correctly, levels right, openings formed and steels supported exactly where they need to be.

Brick by brick, steel by steel, it’s all starting to take shape.
