🐵 Monkey Puzzle Removal 🌲

A bit of a different one for the team — the removal of this mature Monkey Puzzle tree.

They’re certainly impressive trees to look at… not quite as enjoyable when you’re the one climbing and dismantling them! 😅 Those tough, sharp, densely packed branches make for an interesting day in the harness.

Carefully dismantled in sections due to the surrounding property, gardens and boundaries, with everything brought safely down under control.

Another awkward removal safely completed by the Treeco team. 🌳🪚

Commercial Grounds Maintenance 🌿

A productive few days carrying out grounds maintenance at this impressive property for one of our commercial clients.

The site had become heavily overgrown in areas, with a significant amount of Cotoneaster requiring removal, alongside selective pruning, shaping and clearance of surrounding vegetation.

The works have opened the grounds back up, reinstated access and sightlines, and brought some structure back to the established landscape while retaining its character.

Another good example of the wider vegetation management services we provide beyond arboriculture.

🌳 Commercial Arboriculture Works

A good mix of works completed for one of our commercial clients, including the removal of two Common Limes and one Small-leaved Lime, alongside lateral reductions to surrounding trees to improve clearance from buildings, boundaries and access areas.

The removals were carefully dismantled before the timber was processed and stumps ground out, leaving the site clear and ready for its next use.

Another complete package delivered by the Treeco team. 🌳

Nice easy one for the team 🌿✂️

A mixed-species hedgerow cut back and tidied up, removing the overhanging growth and reclaiming the footpath while keeping the hedge neat and manageable.

Nothing complicated — just good, tidy vegetation management making an immediate difference. 👌

🌳 Creating Space While Retaining a Mature Willow

Another job completed at one of our local schools.

This mature willow required selective lateral reduction on the playing-area side, creating more usable space for the school while also providing greater clearance and protection for the adjacent outbuilding.

Our 4x4-mounted MEWP was utilised to provide safe and efficient access throughout the works, allowing the tree to be carefully managed and retained rather than removed.

Another poplar reduction completed at the same local school 🌳

This tree had developed a heavily one-sided crown, with significant weight extending in one direction and requiring remedial works to improve its overall balance.

Using a tracked MEWP once again, the team were able to safely access the crown and carry out a controlled reduction, reducing excessive end-weight while retaining the tree and its amenity value.

The right access equipment allows us to work safely, efficiently and with greater control, particularly when managing large mature trees in sensitive environments such as schools.

Giving a mature poplar a new lease of life 🌳🏫

We recently completed a crown reduction on this mature poplar at a local school, helping to improve safety while retaining an important tree within the grounds.

The tree had developed a large amount of upper crown growth, increasing wind loading and making careful management essential. By carrying out a sympathetic reduction, we reduced the overall sail area while maintaining the tree’s natural shape and extending its safe lifespan.

Working alongside our good friend Dave Myers and utilising his MEWP allowed us to complete the work safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the school.
