It’s official you Max is now our new apprentice and the banter has started already.

What was the stupidest thing that you had to do as an Apprentice???

When i worked at Sunset Windows in year 11 on work placement I got sent to Wickes for 100mm roll of fallopian tube and the butty van for a sphincter roll 🫣🫣

Keen to graft, get in front so he can pick up that trowel and have a go at pointing. Think he’s definitely got that hunger in his belly and working along myself, Ste and Luke i think he’s going to transform into a fantastic tradesmen.

As a business owner, there’s always something to do. Those few hours in the morning before everyone wakes up are where I get some of my best work done.

My mind’s clear, the quiet is bliss and I can focus better than at any other time of the day.

Handover day at Congleton. Last job is changing a door handle, then we’re off…

Checked the key in the lock to leave with Deano and the mortice lock’s packed in. 🤦‍♂️

So that’s another trip to

First name terms now… another couple of trips and I’ll be invited to the Christmas do 😂

Not sure what i’d do without this place, saved the day again. 🙌

Back to site, new mortice lock fitted, handle on, key checked. NOW we can leave. Decorator still there doing his bit.

Sometimes it’s the little extras that mean the most 🙌

Our clients wanted their grandkids to lay an Accrington brick on the masonry we’ve rebuilt. Getting them onto the scaffolding wasn’t possible safely, so I came up with a little surprise…

A piece of stone engraved with both their names and 2026 🧱🙌

Got them to come upstairs for the reveal. A little bit of family history to be part of their building for years to come ❤️

The Big big 𝗕𝗢𝗦𝗦 🙏

We’ve been buying off Mr Ferns for ver a year now and he always goes that extra mile for us 🙌

People buy from people 🤝

Yesterday we told him about young Max, how keen he is and how he’s buying his own tools. We bought Max a 1200mm level to add to his tool collection and Mr Ferns bought him a 600mm to go with it 😮‍💨

He didn’t have to do that, but he did.

That’s what building relationships is all about. Looking after each other and getting behind the next generation.
