🎉 Happy Monday from WBES! 🎉

Today we’ve welcomed not one, but TWO new starters to the team!

👩‍💼 Heidi has joined us as our Apprentice Administration Assistant. We’ll give Heidi a proper introduction once she’s had chance to settle in… and once we’ve confirmed she actually likes us! 😆

🐶 In the meantime, we’d like to introduce our newest Office Director, Ernie!

After an extremely competitive interview process (which may or may not have involved treats and belly rubs), Ernie impressed us with his leadership skills, enthusiasm, and ability to boost team morale simply by walking into a room.

His responsibilities include:
✅ Meet & greet duties
✅ Team motivation
✅ Quality control of snacks
✅ Supervising nap schedules

We’re looking forward to seeing what both of our new recruits bring to the business!

Say Hello to Joe! 👋⚡

We’re shining the spotlight on Joe, our Apprentice Electrician, who’s been part of the WBES team for the last 11 months! 🙌

🔧 What does Joe enjoy most about the job?

“I enjoy learning the different aspects of being an electrician.”
Every day brings something new, and Joe is always keen to develop his skills and knowledge.

☀️ Most interesting project so far?

“The solar install at Billy’s Bar in Failsworth.”
A fantastic project to be involved in and a great example of renewable energy in action!

🏢 What part of the job is he best at?

“I would say commercial installs, as that’s what I’m most experienced in.”💡☀️

🏉 What does he enjoy outside of work?

Playing rugby! When he’s not on site, you’ll likely find him on the pitch.

🎓 A surprising fact about Joe?

He passed a GCSE while still in primary school! 👏

🤔 If he wasn’t an electrician?

“More than likely a different trade.”

👋 Helloooo!

It’s been a busy few weeks at WBES Oldham Limited and we’ve got plenty more coming up ⚡👷

We’ve got new ☀️ Solar PV projects starting across Lancashire & West Yorkshire, 🚨 fire detection upgrades throughout Lancashire, and 💡 a large communal lighting scheme in Barrow.

Yesterday we also kicked off a huge ☀️🔋 150-panel solar & battery installation on a bar in Manchester, expected to pay for itself in just 6 years and massively reduce energy bills for years to come 📉⚡

🔧 Training this week at WBES 👨‍🔧

This week Warren has been on an Air Source Heat Pump training course to get a better understanding of how the whole system works. While we mainly handle the electrical side, knowing how the plumbing side works really helps with fault finding and problem solving on site. 🛠️

Air Source Heat Pumps take heat from the outside air and use it to provide heating and hot water for your home — an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solution that’s becoming more popular every year. 🌬️🏡♻️

At WBES, teamwork with other trades is key to keeping projects running smoothly. 🤝
