Good progress at Werneth Primary School.

The new SEND provision is starting to take shape, with the ground floor construction progressing on site.

The team are currently working through the floor construction and getting everything prepared for the next stage of the build.

It’s great to see the project moving forward and the building beginning to come out of the ground.

A huge congratulations to Mark Brierley on completing the 10 Peaks Challenge and taking on such an incredible challenge in support of The Christie Charity and Glossop Cricket Club.

A massive thank you to everyone who donated and supported Mark along the way. Your generosity will make a real difference, with funds being split equally between supporting vital cancer care and research at The Christie, and helping Glossop Cricket Club invest in coaching, equipment, facilities and opportunities for current and future players.

Project Update – Orchard Primary School 🏫

We’re pleased to share a further update on the works at Orchard Primary School.

The new tarmac has now been laid, and the line markings have been completed, giving the area a fresh and finished look.

We’re now awaiting the installation of the new gates, which will be the final stage in completing the project.

Another step closer to delivering a safe, practical and improved outdoor space for the school and its pupils.

🏗️ NEW JOB – CARDINAL LANGLEY 🏫

We’re pleased to be starting a new project at Cardinal Langley, with a comprehensive programme of construction, refurbishment, infrastructure and external works. 🚧

The works will include the excavation of the existing embankment to create new visitor car parking, along with excavation for the redirection of the existing gas main and installation of a new gas main to allow the existing main to be capped off. 🔥🚜 Demolition, stripping out and removal works will also be carried out as required to facilitate the project.

🏢 The new building construction will include excavation, foundations, blockwork and cavity walls, ground floor slab, structural steelwork, rendering and the complete roof structure, including drainage, fascias and soffits. 🏗️

🪟 New external windows, screens and doors will be installed, including ironmongery and glazing, together with all required fire-stopping works. Internally, the project will include the construction of new walls, installation of internal doors, shutters, hatches and screens, as well as skirtings, architraves, countertops, window boards and shelving. 🧱🚪

✨ Internal fittings will include blinds, sanitaryware and appliances, alongside internal and external drainage installations. Wall finishes will include plastering, cladding and panels, with plastered and suspended ceilings also being installed.

🪜 Flooring works will include DPM, screeding, carpet tiles, vinyl flooring and associated accessories, together with all required Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works and decoration. ⚡🎨

🌳 The external works will include the construction of retaining walls, car park areas, barriers, a cycle shelter, landscaping and planting, gates, fencing and line marking.

💪 From groundworks and utilities through to the new building, internal finishes, M&E and external works, this is a fantastic project with plenty to get stuck into.

🏫 NEW JOB – BEAVER ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL 🔨

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve started a new project at Beaver Road Primary School. The works involve a range of improvements to the school’s doors and surrounding areas, including the installation of new fire doors and the formation of new openings to accommodate the new door installations.

We’ll also be carrying out electrical works where required, installing new external doors and completing any necessary door maintenance and repairs. To finish the project, decoration works will be carried out as required, leaving the areas looking fresh and well maintained.

Our team is committed to delivering all works to a high standard, with safety, quality and attention to detail at the heart of the project. We’re looking forward to progressing the works and sharing the finished results! 👷‍♂️🔨

Project Completion – St Chad’s Primary School, Manchester

We’re pleased to have successfully completed the refurbishment of the ground floor offices, meeting room and reception at St Chad’s Primary School, Manchester.

The project involved the modernisation and reconfiguration of the existing areas, including:

🔹 Internal layout alterations
🔹 New ceilings and fire doors
🔹 Bespoke reception counter and screen
🔹 Energy-efficient LED lighting
🔹 Magnetic door-lock security systems
🔹 New reception entrance doors
🔹 New carpets and floor finishes
🔹 Full decoration and finishing works

📅 Working to a tight programme, the refurbishment was delivered during the school holidays, allowing MBC to carry out the works efficiently while minimising disruption to pupils and staff.

Health & safety and safeguarding remained key priorities throughout. Our team maintained secure segregation of the works, controlled access to the construction areas and coordinated deliveries, materials and specialist trades to ensure the site remained safe and well managed.

The project was managed through close coordination with the school and our supply chain, with quality inspections carried out throughout the works to ensure the finished project met the required standards.

The result is a modern, secure and welcoming environment for the school’s staff and visitors.

🚧 Projecting Dudleys – Works Now Underway! 🚧

We’re pleased to share that the scaffolding at Projecting Dudleys is now fully erected, with debris netting securely attached and the next phase of works now underway.

The team has commenced decoration works to the fascias, soffits and rainwater goods, alongside refining the existing guttering to improve both the appearance and overall finish of the building.

A great step forward for the project, with the works now progressing on site. 👷‍♂️🏗️

🏗️ Phase 2 at Oldham College is nearing completion, with the project almost ready for students to start using the new facilities. 🎓

Works included within this phase include the installation of new mechanical teaching booths, 60-minute fire-rated doors, fire stopping works, anti-slip resin flooring, decoration works, and mechanical and electrical installations.

A fantastic effort from everyone involved, and we’re looking forward to seeing the completed space ready for the students. 🙌

We’re pleased to announce that the refurbishment works at Oldham College’s IT Room E214 (Inclusion Hub) have now been successfully completed, with the space ready in time for the start of the new academic year! 🎉🏗️

The project involved a complete transformation of the existing space, including the removal of the old doors, plasterboard walls, suspended ceilings and floor coverings. The works also included the installation of new flooring, suspended ceilings and bulkheads, new walls and glazed partitions, skirtings, doors, seating and benching, along with all associated mechanical and electrical works.

The project was completed with the required decoration and finishing touches, creating a modern, refreshed and functional Inclusion Hub ready to welcome students for the new academic year.

Great to see another project successfully completed and a fantastic result for everyone involved!

As the Bank Holiday comes to an end, we’ve been busy getting the plumbing teaching bays at Oldham College finished and ready for handover ahead of the new academic year. 👷‍♂️🔨

The works have included new walls and doors to meet the required 60-minute fire rating, fire stopping works, anti-slip resin flooring, full decoration works throughout, along with mechanical and electrical works.

It’s great to see the spaces coming together and ready to provide a safe, practical and professional environment for students starting the new academic year. 🏫

Another project nearing completion and one the team can be proud of. 👏
