Not every day you dig up a WW2 gr***de..
I called 101, they sent the police, they called the military bomb disposal unit, they gave it an X-ray on site, turns out it’s real and full of explosives.
They then moved it to a local farm and detonated it.😬
All in a days work I suppose πŸ€·πŸ˜‚

Another garden renovation recently completed.πŸ™‚
In this garden, we installed another fossil mint sandstone patio with some amazing colours, and new fence along one side and the back with a new gate, fresh topsoil under the new turf and a nice picket fence to separate the patio and lawn. Great transformation πŸ˜€

We are back from a well needed 2 week break. I'm getting through my messages over the next few days, (over 100 at the moment) it seems my default away message auto reply wasn't working while on holiday. πŸ™„

This is a recently completed project by us. Starting with removing the shed, base and the rear wonky fence. Fence was replaced with concrete posts, gravelboards and quality closeboard panels, and a raised sleeper planter.
We then re-purposed the sleepers from the original planter to retain the raised patio, using a 150mm compacted sub base, 50mm full bed of concrete and all pavers primered on the back. Pavers are fossil mint sandstone, with some amazing patterns, as always supplied by Stone Traders UK Ltd. And pointing done with a 3:1 sand/cement mix.
We then built the 20ft long shed raised on a sleeper base.
The perfect sunny spot at the back of the garden.πŸ™‚

Another project that we recently completed.
We started with removing the old shed to make way for a lovely Indian sandstone patio, slightly raised using sleepers to contain the 150mm compacted sub base and 50mm full bed of concrete, also using a recessed manhole cover to blend into the patio rather than the awful looking metal ones. The customer had a few bamboo in pots that they wanted in a planter, we built the planter using sleepers, then used a dpm to protect the sleepers from being in contact with the soil so no worries for any future rot. Then a membrane along the bottom of the planter to ensure the bamboo is not going to spread any further than the planter, filled with fresh compost and bamboo planted. All of the fences were painted, the back using green ducks back and the sides using a clear waterproof protection. And lastly we installed a new shed, set on gravel grids and also painted with the ducks back paint.
All good to go and ready for the summer πŸ™‚

A lot of natural stone paving recently..
This particular one is a fossil mint sandstone from Stone Traders UK Ltd.
Looks amazing with all the different colours, and has a few fossilised plants on them. On this job the customer had placed his own sub base down, we added to that with a dry sand/cement mix and compacted the whole areato create a solid base, then a 50mm concrete full bed and each tile was primered.
Another garden ready for the summer.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ

This lovely tandur limestone path we recently completed for a customer, we overlaid the path so we could cut a nice curved path, as always it's laid on a 150mm compacted sub base, 50mm full bed of concrete and all pavers primered, and a strong sand/cement mix for the pointing. Then a nice new turf to finish it all off. As usual Stone Traders UK Ltd. Supplied the pavers.
Another very happy customer. πŸ™‚πŸ‘Œ
