Let me introduce myself.

I am Owen Thomas from Rutland, a master door painter decorator with 20+ years experience, living with a full time disability, metal legs, offering painted door packages! I am Owen Thomas , an artist, training tattooist and painter decorator now living with a full time disability. I spent around 20 years in the decorating trade enjoying a successful business with my dad who has over 45 years of tra

de, up until 2015 when I had a freak accident and fell off a cliff in Cornwall shattering both my legs and now have ankles built entirely from metalwork, unable to run or jump. Unfortunately this meant my decorating options became very restrained as I cannot go up ladders or do large scale jobs, which has led me to now offer this package of exterior front door work so I can continue to work effectively. I am traditionally trained in decorating , not commercial site work and our previous client base has, and continues to be quite prestigious with fussy customers such as judges, MPs and doctors meaning my standards remain extremely high. Not posted for some time, as I mentioned I needed to come off social media due to the amount of absolute turd we're subject to when we're cursed into scrolling through spoon fed adverts, idiot tradesmen who beg for attention and fame and endless know it all that have an answer for everything.

This, plus the fact of having to deal with absolute time wasters that enquire then disappear is just not something I have the energy for.

It was playing havoc with my anxiety and I came to the conclusion that any amount of time on here just negatively affected my mental health.

It's more important and professional for me to just focus on work outside of social media toxicity.

I have 1 week spare first week of August for doors and then I'm tied up until October.

Yes this was brushed, not sprayed.

A upvc door is THE hardest style of door to hand paint. Getting a quality finish on a flat plastic surface with minimal brush marks visible and no grain to follow is the top obstacle, you also have to put a solvent shellac on before you go on with any finishing coats.

This door will be solid now, and working on these type of doors in this heat is also an absolute challenge. This finish takes years of perfection.

😵😵😵HELP!

Been rained off this week, with next week looking the same and only outside work booked in 😫😫😫

If theres anybody with inside work in mind that wanted last minute jobs doing please get in touch as I'm sat with no hope of working at the mo. Not a clever position to be in!

Think I might start charging a deposit to even start a conversation with me about jobs 🤣🤣🤣

No but on a serious note, I just dont get when people ask about work, you send the information and communicate with them professionally and timely, meeting all thier questions and queries discussing the job, then they just disappear and can't even be bothered to reply or say no to going any further.

If its the tradesmen acting that way then people are real quick to complain.

I know how bloody good I am at my work, that includes high standards with communication too.
