Connecting home & landscape at Jubilee Lodge. 🌳✨

When you add a new extension with high bi-fold doors, the transition down to the garden needs to feel natural, safe, and open.

For this project in Ridlington, we worked with the brilliant team at Generation Timber Ltd (who built the oak extension) and Rutland Garden Design to bridge a 2-metre floor height difference. We constructed a substantial raised stone terrace using custom structural brickwork matched to the original masonry, finished with smooth stone paving and a sleek glass balustrade to keep the views open.

When you're planning a home extension or a garden refresh, smart level design makes all the difference to how you actually use the space. 📐🧱

For our project in Ridlington, the goal was creating a natural flow from the high bi-fold doors down to the fresh lawn area. By incorporating wide, inset brick steps and integrated seasonal planters right into the structural terrace, the transition becomes a feature in itself rather than just a way to get down to the grass.
