There are very few companies in the UK qualified to install ground source heat pumps. Hex Energy is the leading installer of ground source heat pumps in central UK. What's more, we are the only company in the UK to have our own Certified Geo-Exchange Designer, to inspect, design and install a system suited to your needs. Most companies do not include all elements necessary for a turnkey and bespoke installation and will exclude vital elements, leaving the homeowner to source drilling and gig trenches for example, or add this as an extra. It's not an extra, it is essential to professional installation work that encompasses the entire system.

Regular heat pump servicing isn’t just about ticking a box — it’s about protecting your system from hidden issues that build up over time.

Here we’re extracting sludge and magnetite, which can put serious strain on key components like pump impellers, valves and plate heat exchangers. Left untreated, it leads to blockages, breakdowns and costly repairs.

We include full system water testing as standard — checking for bacteria, corrosion and chemical balance — and use specialist filters, inhibitors and biocides to keep things running smoothly.

From 1st June, it’s now easier than ever to install a heat pump at home:

✅ 1-metre boundary rule scrapped
✅ Larger, quieter units now allowed (up to 1.5m³)
✅ Detached homes can install 2 units under permitted development
✅ £30 million in extra government funding for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme
