🌱 Another returning customer making the move to renewable heating!

A few years ago, we installed a Solar PV system for this customer.

Now, we've been back to take the next step — decommissioning her old oil boiler and installing a new Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP). ♻️

It's always great to return to a property we've worked on before, and even better when a customer chooses us again to help them take another step towards a more sustainable home.

With their existing solar PV system and now a new Air Source Heat Pump, they're continuing to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels and make better use of renewable energy at home. ☀️🌱

💡 A quick lighting upgrade that made a big difference!

We were called out to a customer who had unfortunately been left without a working boiler.

The boiler warranty engineer needed better lighting in the loft before they could safely carry out the repair, so we attended promptly and installed two new LED lights to brighten up the area.

The result? A much brighter and safer working environment, giving the engineer the visibility they needed to get on with the boiler repair. 🔧💡

Sometimes it's the smaller jobs that can make a big difference when you need them most.

🌱 Thinking about Solar PV or an Air Source Heat Pump? Now could be the time to start planning.

There’s currently 0% VAT on qualifying renewable energy installations, including Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pumps.

But this is due to change.

📅 From 1 April 2027, the VAT rate is set to return to 5%.

That means there’s still time to take advantage of the current 0% rate — but it’s worth getting your project started sooner rather than later.

With energy costs continuing to be an important consideration for homeowners, investing in renewable technology can help you generate more of your own energy and reduce your reliance on the grid.

And with the next energy price cap period beginning in April 2027, now is a good time to start looking at your options rather than waiting until the last minute. Ofgem will announce the April–June 2027 price cap on 23 February 2027.

It's always great to have customers come back to us, and this project is a great example of how renewable technology can be added to a property over time.

They already had their ASHP in place, and now they can generate their own electricity with solar, store excess energy in the battery and charge their EV at home.

We are saddened to share the passing of May Fearn, beloved mother-in-law of our Director, Chris Dodd.

In her memory, a tribute page has been created to celebrate her life and the impact she had on those around her. In lieu of flowers, the family has chosen to support the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, whose vital service helps save lives across our region every day.

We’re currently on site delivering a large-scale Solar PV installation at a golf course clubhouse — an exciting project that will help the facility reduce energy costs and move towards a more sustainable future.
