Soldering station out for this one 🔥💡

LED strip lighting installed into aluminium profile around this kitchen island, with each section cut, soldered and connected on site for a clean, continuous warm-white finish.

A day with a view. 🏙️⚡

Not every office has a view like this.

Carried out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) in Nottingham today. Unfortunately, the installation was found to be unsatisfactory, with no RCD protection provided to the circuits.

An EICR isn’t just about ticking a box—it’s about identifying issues that could affect the safety of the installation and helping property owners understand what improvements are needed.

If you’re a landlord or homeowner and you’re unsure whether your installation is due for an inspection, feel free to get in touch.

Bringing an old fountain back to life ⛲️

A customer contacted us regarding an old pond fountain that had been out of service for some time.

Rather than replacing the entire feature, we installed a new pump, completed a waterproof cable repair using a submersible gel joint enclosure, and carried out the necessary alterations to get everything running safely once again.

This was my first time using a fully submersible gel joint system, and I’m really impressed with the quality of the product and the finished result.

It’s always satisfying restoring something that’s been unused for years and giving it a new lease of life. The fountain now sits proudly amongst the water lilies and looks exactly as it should.

Sometimes the most rewarding jobs aren’t the biggest ones—they’re the ones that bring something back into use.
