On Friday with the sun shining, our Directors we're on site undertaking a local residential EV charger installation⚡

This project involved the installation of an Ohme home EV charger, chosen by the customer. With a neat external cable run clipped for 17 meters & dug for 8 metres and weatherproof connections to keep everything looking clean and professional.

We always take pride in making sure our installs are not only safe and compliant, but also tidy and sympathetic to the property finish — from containment routing through to final positioning and testing.

The customer now has:

The sun is shining and this system is performing perfectly for what it was built for ☀️🔋

The client’s original setup — a 5kW inverter with just 9 panels — simply wasn’t cutting it. So we delivered a full upgrade designed for performance, efficiency, and long-term savings.

🔧 What we installed:
⚡ 10kW hybrid inverter
🔋 28kWh battery storage
☀️ Added 20 panels to the existing 9 — giving a powerful 29 panel system

We also went a step further…
🔌 Installed an additional 15 panels onto the original 5kW inverter — bringing the total to an incredible 44 panels across the property.

This massively boosts generation and gives the client the ability to store and use their own energy day and night.

We didn’t stop there…

♻️ The existing 5kW inverter was repurposed as a standalone system, paired with a solar diverter linked to:
🔥 Hot water tank
🏠 Underfloor heating

Meaning excess solar now directly reduces gas and heating costs.

🚗 We also installed a solar-ready EV charger — allowing the client to charge their car for FREE using solar energy.

The result?
✅ Lower bills
✅ Smarter energy use
✅ Maximum export from the main system
✅ Total energy optimisation across the property
