Size doesn’t matter.
Really, it doesn’t here.
This tiny frame knitting workshop, built in 1737, is a remarkable piece of industrial heritage — and what an amazing project it has been to be part of.
Working alongside James Boon Architects, we helped bring this little building back to life, supported by Heritage Lottery funding.
The project included the reinstatement of an 18th-century knitting frame, alongside a wonderfully quirky sock machine.
Small in scale, but with an incredible story to tell. And to top it off from 2027 you can even book a night and have the space all to yourself.
Will share more of the interiors soon.
