Assistant Drillers / 2nd Man.
No experience necessary. Training will be provided. Suitable candidtates must be hard working and willing to work outdoors all year round.
Any experienced candidates may be considered for NVQL2 Land Drilling training immediately if suitable.
About the role
The roles is a permanent full-time role based on sites throughout the UK via our main depot in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
Site locations vary throughout the whole of the UK therefore you must be willing and able to work away from home. You will also be required to report to our main depot in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire when not on site. Overnight lodge / digs allowance is provided where necessary and you will be provided transport and fuel.

What will you be doing
You will be required to work in a team either with a driller or a small grouting crew dependent upon the site requirements for drilling and grouting operations including site investigations and/or drilling for ground source installations among other disciplines.
You will be required to inspect, grease and maintain drilling rigs and equipment as directed by your Lead Driller or Supervisor. This also includes cleaning and jet washing.
You may be asked to undertake other roles within the company by management if other site operations require support and you must be able to follow site specific health and safety rules.
You must be willing to undertake further training such as First Aid, NVQ level 2 / NVQ level 3, SSSTS etc. will be provided by GDC if you are suitable and selected by management to further your development.
Roles and responsibilities vary dependent upon qualifications and experience and will be discussed further at interview.
Who we are looking for
Personal qualities and experience required
Essential:
•A valid UK driving licence
•Communication, Time management and a strong work ethic.
•Willingness to undertake overtime and dig / stop away overnight as necessary
Desirable:
•CSCS Health and Safety Card
•Previous experience within the drilling industry
•Previous experience of grouting operations
•CPCS or Equivalent Telehandler / Loadall / Forklift operator
