How many ways can you customise a piece of foam?

Quite a few, as it turns out.

We supply open-cell and closed-cell PVC foams in densities from 90 kg/m³ to 400 kg/m³, with technical properties tailored to suit your application, including flame retardancy, static dissipation, slow or fast recovery, high frequency weldability and bespoke firmness!

Another job on the MaxiCam - this time it’s machining custom foam inserts to hold electrical equipment.

It has its work cut out for it today, with a large batch to machine. Once the programme is loaded, the MaxiCam follows the same cutting pattern for each insert, keeping the profile and depth consistent across the whole batch.

With each insert machined to suit the equipment it needs to hold, the finished batch will give each component a secure fit during storage and transit. 👏

GeoPura has signed an agreement to secure green hydrogen from the upcoming Bradford Low Carbon Hydrogen site in West Yorkshire.

The site is expected to produce up to 15 tonnes of hydrogen a day using renewable electricity, with production due to start in 2028. ♻️

Projects like this rely on a variety of materials during construction and operation, including foam products used for insulation, sealing and protection, like those we manufacture.

Projects of this scale bring plenty of work across the wider manufacturing and supply chain, with specialist materials such as foams and tapes playing a part in marine and industrial applications.

The first cut sets the pace for the whole day.

This morning, the MaxiCam is getting fired up for a day of machining custom foam inserts for an aerospace customer.

Each insert is programmed to match the profile of the component it needs to hold, with the CNC machine controlling the shape and depth of every cut.

That level of consistency is needed when producing multiple inserts, so each part sits in the right position and stays protected during storage and transit.

Programme loaded, foam in place and we’re ready to get started.

Automotive applications can put a lot of demand on materials, so choosing the right foam for the job matters.

We work with Tier 1 and Tier 2 supply chains to design, develop and source foam materials for applications where noise, vibration and harshness need to be controlled, with different materials and processes available depending on what the application requires.
