Another shower leak successfully resolved! 🚿
One of my long-standing customers recently got in touch after moving into their lovely new property, only to discover that both of their showers were leaking whenever they were in use.
The challenge was identifying exactly where the water was escaping from, as both showers presented their own difficulties. One was a tiled wet-room style shower, while the other was a one-piece raised quadrant shower tray, meaning there was no direct access to visually inspect beneath the tray or floor area.
After carrying out a series of tests and investigations, I was able to pinpoint the causes of the leaks and carry out the necessary repairs — thankfully without the need to cut through the ceilings below or create unnecessary damage.
Both showers are now fully back in use…
…and BANG! 💥 the leaks are gone! 😁🚿
Another great result, with the added bonus of keeping disruption as much as possible to a minimum.

I actually remembered to get some before and after pictures too😅 👨🏾‍🔧.

Good morning everyone. I hope you’re all keeping as well as you can and not letting life’s challenges get you down.

It’s taken me quite a bit of time to put this message together, and yes — I needed a bit of help to make sure it flows properly and comes across in the right way, with my usual approach.

Sorry for the essay in advance 😊👨🏾‍🔧

Over the past few months I’ve been reviewing and adjusting my prices so I can keep my business going in a way that’s fair, sustainable, and true to the standard I want to deliver. With unexpected costs like my van breaking down and my tax returns showing that my old pricing wasn’t covering the real cost of the work, I knew I had to make some changes.

I also know these changes may have slowed down enquiries or made a few people unsure, and I completely understand. When you’re a small local business, every change feels personal — and I feel that too.

But I want to say this as honestly as I can: thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me, supported me, recommended me, messaged me, and trusted me to work in your homes. Every job, every kind word, every bit of support genuinely keeps a small business like mine going. It means more than I can put into words.

One of my long‑term customers once said something to me that has always stayed with me:
“I can't give you the formula to success, but I can give you the formula for failure: try to please everybody.”

That reminder has helped me stay focused on doing things the right way — not the easy way.

I’m currently working on putting together clear, fair price ranges so everyone knows exactly what to expect. Once everything is finalised, I’ll share the full breakdown — because transparency matters, and you deserve to know exactly what you’re paying for.

These updates mean I can keep turning up when I say I will, doing the job properly, investing in the right tools, and keeping the quality high for the community I’m proud to serve.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your support doesn’t just help my business — it helps me keep doing the work I love for the people who make it worthwhile.

I hope you are all having a pleasant weekend and have a great week.

Feels a bit better at the moment - Trying to prepare for the second day of very hot weathe, woke up at 3:30am this morning, front and back door opened to let the cool air into the house (nice little breeze so nice) curtains and blinds will remain closed through the day in order to try and keep the cool air in and keep as much heat out as possible. Don't forget to switch off and unplug anything that you aren't using as long as it does not need to remain switched on. Plus I read somewhere that opening the loft/attic hatch helps as it allows some of the hot air to escape. Drink plenty of water don't get caught out. This is not plumbing related I know but if this helps anyone to cope with this glorious but dangerous weather we are currently experiencing I am glad I could help. Stay as safe as possible everyone.

EASTER BLESSING TO YOU ALL!

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all ready or as ready as possible to embrace the magic of the festive period.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all who have considered my business to carry out their plumbing requirements this year it is really appreciated and believe me when I say that I cheerish your support.

I seem to have been a victim of my reputation/popularity this year which is great to be busy but I hate feeling that I have let anyone down unintentionally of course, transport issues, jobs becoming more complex after peeling back the first layers, etc.

Highlight of the year = a customer valued my plumbing skill and services to the point they arranged transport for me to carry out a variety of plumbing requirements they needed doing- this truly humbled me and has encouraged me to continue my self-employed plumbing journey.

I am unable to take on any new bookings at present until mid March 2026.

I am feeling optimistic and look forward to continue providing my plumbing services to you all in the new year.

I and my family would like to wish you all a very merry memorable Christmas and an amazing New year.
