Always check a gas engineer's Gas Safe ID card to ensure they are Gas Safe registered and qualified for the gas work you need done. You can also verify an engineer's qualifications on GasSafeRegister.co.uk.

A common mistake is confusing market value with rebuild value.
Your buildings insurance should be based on the cost to rebuild the property, not the price you paid for it.
Rebuild cost includes things like:
• Materials
• Labour
• Debris removal
• Professional fees
Land value and property demand are not part of the rebuild calculation.
