How our design process flows.

1. Free consultation to discuss your project ideas.
2. Once fixed fee is agreed, we complete a measured survey and produce existing drawings.
3. Develop concept design options for review, refining until finalised with client.
4. Planning drawings are produced and submitted to the council.
5. Building regulations drawings are produced and building control application submitted.
6. Ready to start on site

A recent visit to one of our completed projects in Gedling. This rear single storey extension has created a modern open plan kitchen diner with snug. The client completed most of the work himself, and the finish is excellent! A new patio will be laid this week to finish off the outside.

A recent visit to a project underway in Chesterfield. With the steel work recently formed, the joiners are now gearing up to start on the roofing works.

Its all come together nicely at one of our home extension and renovation projects in Gedling. The traditional style kitchen with Belfast sink works well with the modern black framed windows and rooflights.

This once cramped end to the house has been transformed into a functional and social kitchen dining living space.

How our design process at Walker Design flows from concept to construction.

We begin with a FREE consultation, offering initial advice and a feasibility review. Once our fixed fee is agreed, we complete a full measured survey and produce existing drawings.

Next, we develop concept layout options and review them with you, refining the design based on your feedback. The drawings are then updated and finalised for planning submission, fully compliant with local requirements.

After planning approval, we prepare the building regulations drawings, ready for a start on site.
