Congratulations Kit! 🤩

Kit Swerdlow has been crowned Mechanical Engineering Services Apprentice of the Year at the JTL National Awards 2025! 🏆

Kit, who completed his plumbing apprenticeship with us and his employer, PHD Plumbing Ltd has been recognised for his professionalism, technical skills and impressive development throughout his training with JTL.

Darrell Farmer, JTL Training Officer who nominated Kit said:

“Kit is, to my knowledge, the only JTL Gas Engineering apprentice to pass his EPA with distinction. He took on advice to produce an exceptional NVQ portfolio. His employer trusts him completely, knowing any task given will be completed on time and to a high standard. Kit’s skill, independence, and workmanship truly set him apart.”

West Bridgford-based apprentice Kit Swerdlow has been named as the East Regional Mechanical Engineering Services Apprentice of the Year as part of the JTL Regional Awards 2025! 🏆

Kit, who completed his plumbing apprenticeship with us and employed by PHD Plumbing, has been recognised for his technical excellence, commitment to learning and the contribution he has made both on-site and in training.

Kit said:

“I’m really honoured to be chosen as a regional winner – it’s such a rewarding moment. The apprenticeship has given me the tools and self-belief I needed to grow."

The prestigious JTL National Apprenticeship Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 11th June at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. The National Awards programme is our annual opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our apprentices, teaching staff and employers from around the country.
