It's here! Our Big Coffee Morning is TODAY, 9am–2pm ❤️

We've been so busy getting everything ready and would love to see as many of you as possible at The Welfare in Bestwood Village today ☺️

We've got plenty of tea, coffee and homemade cakes, beautiful fresh flower bouquets, eucalyptus spa hangers, crafts with Gedling Play Forum , games and a fantastic raffle!

We've had some lovely raffle prizes donated, including a personal training session, a £40 bouquet, afternoon tea, a designer chocolate cake, a doggy hamper and lots more! Tickets are just £1 each or £5 for a strip.

We're raising money for Just Because Bunches, our little community initiative that uses flowers and plants to brighten people's days, particularly those going through difficult times or struggling with their mental health.

We're also working towards offering sensory nature based sessions for autistic and neurodivergent children and adults, both with local schools and weekly sessions to book into here in the village, alongside fresh fruit and veg donations so every bit of support really does make a difference.

Whether you pop in for five minutes, stay for a cuppa and a chat, pick up some flowers or try your luck in the raffle, we'd love to see you, dog and super family friendly with free 🐾 treats.

I absolutely loved making this one...
.. once I found an arrangement grid the video recording will make a good outtakes reel 😆🙈.

Autumn is definitely in the air.This gorgeous arrangement will be on our flower stall first thing in the morning

It's one of a kind, this week and will be first come first served 😊

It's £30, the pumpkin was carved this afternoon has been cleaned with a faint bleach solution, and the arrangement sits inside a plant pot so you can reuse the pumpkin as a vase.

Welcome to the Living Garden

This is the part of the garden we actually live in and there’s a LOT I want to change over the next year.

From the starting point: July 2026. The plan so far is huge tidy up, more colour, better use of the space for the dogs, and a garden we can really enjoy living in with a distinct seating and hot tub area.

Look out for the rest of the garden area introductions this week followed by independent tours and plans from next week 😀

Let’s see what I can turn it into July 2027…

I finally did it!

After talking about it, planning, changing my mind about it and finding old photos and videos that made me rethink half the plan my One Year to My Dream Garden video is finally finished! 😂

This is Year Nine of winging Delilah’s Allotment Garden and the starting point for my journey to garden perfection 😊 well my idea of it anyway, it'll never be a show garden 😆.

Looking back at how open the garden was nine years ago made me realise that my dream garden isn't actually about adding more, more, more! Over the next growing year, I want to keep the bits I love, clean up the messy bits (the urge to sort out areas befor filming was so strong!) , grow even more flowers for Just Because Bunches, but also more importantly bring back some of that lovely open space and give dogs more room to enjoy the garden and for us to live in it too.
