We love helping a customer with a specific design brief! Our customer wanted a spacious, walk-in shower as well as a comfortable bath that all the family can use. The colour palette needed to bring warmth to the room, making the room feel cosy and modern but allowing the brassware to shine and the vanity to pop. The customer wanted to have a spa feeling bathroom within her very own home.

We chose the Brooks Bianco tile to give a unobtrusive but incredibly versatile base to the room, allowing the warm natural oak furniture to become the feature of the bathroom. Brushed Gold brassware throughout the bathroom tied in the warm theme, while staying beautifully elegant and reflecting the natural light which will come from the large window at the far end of the bathroom.

Fitted bathroom furniture ideas💡

A continuous worktop across the whole wall, twin countertop basins and a back-to-wall WC built straight into the units. The lighting and under-counter LED strip are what lift it from "storage" to a feature🤩

If you're planning a bathroom with a window wall like this one, fitted furniture is the trick: it gives you a continuous surface instead of three separate bits of furniture fighting for space💛

Our designers plan small bathrooms every day, and the same handful of things make the biggest difference🤩

Start with the floor. A wall-hung vanity keeps the floor line running all the way to the wall, and the room reads noticeably bigger for it. Then the tiles, go large format, and keep the grout within a shade or two of the tile so the floor stays one surface.👏

Build your storage into the wall with a recessed niche instead of adding shelves that stick out into a room that hasn't got the room. Choose a clear glass screen over a hinged door so the eye carries all the way to the back wall AND put light at the mirror, because one ceiling fitting leaves you standing in your own shadow.

Most people are told to pick one: a proper walk-in shower, or a freestanding bath. This bathroom has both🤩

What makes it work is the shower end being built as a wet room, no tray, no door, just a black-framed screen and a linear drain set into the floor. Both the vanity and the toilet are wall-hung to keep the floor clear underneath. Small decisions, but they're the ones that free up the space for the bath 🛁

This colour coordinated showroom display using the Kendal furniture in Rose gives a uniform look by matching one key 'Rose' colour throughout, creating multiple feature points across the room.

Choosing a plain base tile to go behind the 'Rose' vanity showcases the colour, and choosing a feature tile that compliments the vanity colour throughout the bathroom, for example, in the back of the niches and a feature wall, brings the whole design together.

Terrazzo tiles add an exciting texture and pop of colour to a bathroom design. 🎨

This pale based tile adds a little dark grey to add texture and contrast and well as some warmer tones to ensure the bathroom doesn’t feel cold all while being light enough to give that wonderful contrast against the black brassware. 😍
