💪 When the floor underneath fails, it’s all about getting the preparation right.

This floor had been subjected to heavy weight, causing the existing screed to blow and fail underneath the flooring.

We took the damaged areas back, repaired and prepared the subfloor, then re-screeded the area to provide a strong, level base before installing 10mm Blade Runner heavy-duty flooring.

A proper repair from the ground up — not just covering over the problem. 👌

For this job we used smaller herringbone planks, which work brilliantly in smaller spaces. The proportions suit the rooms perfectly and allow the pattern to flow beautifully through the kitchen, hallway and tighter doorway areas without looking oversized or overwhelming.

We're currently making great progress on a flooring refurbishment project , working across three blocks of student accommodation.

Our team is installing new flooring throughout:
