Today’s job cancelled as the old lady forgot I was coming so instead of calling other customers to bring them forward I thought I’d pop to the workshop to tidy up and I decided to use up some scrap oak.
Glued some oak together and made a chopping board for home, food grade oil now on order

Kitchen fitting this week with James Alex Jones, the client chose the Ohio range in dusty pink.
Just need to pop back next week when the client has the appliance’s so we can plumb them in and wire up the cooker.
Some of this is custom built and the client decided to add an extra cupboard so we’re waiting on a door.

April has arrived and the days are starting to open up again. Lighter evenings, a bit more energy, and that point in the year where you start to see your home properly.

We’re back into a nice rhythm after winter and taking on work across the usual areas.

Hi, I’m Chris, founder of Elevate the Space.

We carry out electrical work, repairs, joinery and renovations across Nottinghamshire for homeowners, small businesses and organisations who want work done properly and handled with care.

Most of the jobs we’re asked to help with are the kind where reliability matters. Rewires, lighting, fault finding, bespoke storage, property improvements, and maintenance work where the space is already lived or worked in.

A lot of people don’t realise how much experience sits behind the work you don’t see.

Chris has been working as an electrician for over 25 years, solving problems in homes, businesses and building sites across the UK.

These days most of his work is here locally through Elevate the Space.

Alongside electrical work, he also carries out joinery, repairs, maintenance and renovation work, and works with a small group of trusted trades when a project needs more than one specialist.

For clients it means one person assessing the job properly and coordinating the work so things run smoothly.

Most of our projects come through word of mouth and repeat customers, which we’re always grateful for.
