Today I’m showing the next part of the staircase transformation, this time on the other side of the wall.

As you can see in the before photos, the cracks were really visible. I applied reinforcing mesh, filled the damaged areas, sanded everything down, filled again where needed, sanded again and then finished the walls with two coats of paint.

There was a lot of preparation behind this finish, but the result looks really clean and fresh. At first it looked almost impossible to bring it back without full plastering, but with the right preparation and patience, the wall came out beautifully.

As I mentioned in the previous post, I didn’t paint the staircase woodwork in this property.

Hope you like the transformation.

What was hiding under the wallpaper? 👀

Sometimes I feel like wallpaper is holding all the walls together 😂

Once the wallpaper came off, there was quite a bit of prep work to do. Cracks were filled, damaged areas repaired, everything sanded, filled again where needed and prepared properly before painting.

In this part of the house I painted the walls, ceiling and skirting boards, finishing everything in a lovely light grey colour. It looks fresh, clean and much brighter now.

I didn’t paint the staircase banister in this part.

Today I’m showing the downstairs photos, tomorrow I’ll show the staircase and upstairs.

Hope you like the transformation.

Who likes green? 💚

Today I’m starting to show photos from another house project.

This time we’re beginning with the rooms, and there will be a bit more colour in this one. As you can see, paint can completely change the feeling of a space. Some rooms were kept calm and neutral, while others were given a stronger colour to add more character.

The preparation is always the most important part before painting, making sure the walls and ceilings are ready so the final finish looks clean and fresh.

More rooms from this house coming soon.
I hope you like the transformation.

No, I didn’t paint the stars on the stairs :-)

In this staircase project the stairs were lightly sanded and repainted in black, while the walls were painted in a deep dark green as you can see in the before & after photos.

Walking out and the property looks like new.

It still amazes me how much a proper paint job can completely change a home.

In this kitchen there was a lot of grease built up on the walls.
As you can see on the photos, it’s all been dealt with properly and nothing is coming through. It looks fresh again.

The key is always the preparation.
That’s what takes the most time filling, sanding, sealing and making sure everything is ready before any paint goes on.

It’s not just about picking up a roller and painting.
That might work in perfect properties, but in most cases it can actually cause more damage uneven lines, stains coming back or patchy finishes.

In this post you can see part of the kitchen and other areas of the property.

Hope you like the result 👍
