Part 4 of our Design & Technology classroom refurbishment series!

So far we have shared the woodwork classroom refurbishments, the remaining two classrooms were used for design and technology theory with no practical works taking place. Therefore, the focus in these rooms was primarily on modernisation, decluttering, and adding purposeful storage into the space.

This refurbishment included:
-Installation of a ceiling air-con unit
-New media wall and teachers desk with HDMI and USB points
-New internal oak doors
-Restoration of the existing parquet flooring
-Trespa worktops
-New cabinetry and tall lockable storage
-Apron hooks
-New twin sockets and dado trunking
-New sink and taps
-Full room redecoration

Part 3 of our Design & Technology classroom refurbishment series!

So far we have shared the woodwork classroom refurbishments, the remaining two classrooms were used for design and technology theory with no practical works taking place. Therefore, the focus in these rooms was primarily on modernisation, decluttering, and adding purposeful storage into the space.

This refurbishment included:
-Removal of 3D printer and replacing with additional worktop benching
-New media wall and teachers desk with HDMI and USB points
-New internal oak doors
-New twin sockets
-Additional wall unit storage
-Blocking up of two pre-existing doorways
-Full room redecoration

Part 2 of our Design & Technology classroom refurbishment series!

Following on from last week’s classroom transformation, here’s another of the four classrooms we refurbished within the 6-week summer holidays.

The refurbishment included:
-Alterations to the machinery extraction system
-Installation of a heat recovery unit (VAM unit)
-New media wall and teachers desk with HDMI and USB points
-New oak internal doors
-Restoration of the existing Parquet flooring
-Apron hooks
-New cabinetry and tall lockable storage
-New twin sockets and dado trunking
-New trespa worktops
-Sink and taps
-Installation of new/existing machinery
-Full room redecoration

For this classroom, the school chose to retain and reuse the existing workbenches, giving the space a fresh new look while making the most of the furniture already available.

A complete transformation delivered during the 6-week summer holidays as part of a larger refurbishment of four classrooms within a secondary school’s Design & Technology block.

For this woodwork classroom, the works included:

The result is a brighter, more practical and modern learning environment, completed ready for the new school year!🎓
