🐝⚠️ An Emergency Wasp Call-Out With a Difference… ⚠️🐝

An interesting—and concerning—call-out for MNS Pest Control Services recently.

A lady with mobility difficulties contacted us in a panic after wasps had managed to break through the artex ceiling and enter the room below. Unfortunately, she had already been stung by the time she called us.

As you can see in the video, the wasps were actively using the hole they had created in the ceiling to enter the room.

Knowing the circumstances, we attended within a very short time, treated the wasp problem and made the area safe again—much to our customer's relief.

This is a great example of why unusual wasp activity shouldn't be ignored. Nests can be hidden within lofts, roof spaces and wall cavities, and occasionally the wasps can find their way through into the property itself.

It might not look like much, but this hole was actually chewed through the woodwork by a mouse looking for an easy way to pop in and say hello!

Mice only need a gap of around 6mm to gain access to a property, and if there isn't one available, they're more than capable of creating their own by gnawing through materials such as timber, plasterboard and even some plastics.

Once inside, they can contaminate food, damage property and wiring, and quickly establish a nest.
