Bathroom lighting makes all the difference ✨

Really pleased with how this one came together. The combination of the illuminated mirror and decorative wall lights gives the bathroom a warm, high-end finish while still providing practical lighting where it’s needed.

It’s often the smaller details that completely change the feel of a room, and getting the lighting right can make a huge difference to the finished result.

Something a little different… ⚡️

I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this installation and seeing everything come together.

Definitely not your everyday electrical job! From the feature lighting and illuminated bar area through to the hexagonal lighting over an incredible car collection, there have been plenty of interesting details to work on.

It’s always good to get involved with projects where the electrical installation and lighting form such a big part of the finished look.

Really pleased with how this one has turned out. 👌

⚡ This is why electrical testing matters…

We recently attended a property after a washing machine installer was unable to complete the installation because they couldn’t obtain an earth reading.

After investigating, we found something considerably more concerning.

The consumer unit had apparently been like this for nearly 30 years, according to the customer — with no cover fitted and, more importantly, the circuit protective conductors (earths) disconnected from the earth bar.

That meant circuits that may have appeared to be operating normally weren’t benefiting from the protective earthing you’d expect to be there.

The worrying part? There wasn’t an obvious fault to the homeowner. Lights worked, sockets worked and life carried on as normal. It was only picked up because someone actually took a measurement before connecting the new appliance.

⚡ Electricity working doesn’t necessarily mean an installation is safe.

This is exactly why periodic inspection and testing is so important, particularly in older properties where an installation may have been altered numerous times over the years.

A washing machine installation ended up uncovering a problem that had potentially been sitting unnoticed for decades.
