Here are some remedial works we carried out a few weeks back at old catton village hall.
We racked out and re-pointed some mortar that had pulled away from the wall above the felt up stands and could have been letting water in…
Cleaned down all roof areas and garages of all leaves, debris etc.. cleaned out all gutters and outlets…..cleaned out car park gully pots and aco drains of all muck / silt, leaves etc
We re-coated 2 flat roof areas with silver solar reflective paint. This significantly reduces the indoor temperature whilst protecting the roof felt from baking in the sun and uv degrading.
Trimmed back some very low hanging branches on a couple of trees as these were becoming a safety issue with the children when in the playground…
There was also a fully blocked down pipe to the garage that had roots growing in from nearby bushes…these had cracked the salt glazed underground pipe and needed replacing…this was causing the water to overflow and run down the external brickwork…
We excavated the ground with our Takeuchi tb210r micro machine and replaced the broken section of pipe with some new 110m plastic…
All back filled and left safe and tidy…👍🏻
