Here is another job we completed at a school in Norwich… plenty of before and after pictures to look at ….. 👀

This was a job to create new pathways around the existing building as the previous slabbed areas were becoming unsafe due to ground movement etc…

So we stripped up and removed from site to be recycled…all the slabs, sand cement beds and the hardcore base that was laid many years ago…

We installed all new 6x2 concrete edgings and a 10mm stone mastic asphalt finish.

We adjusted some underground storm water pipework and set new manhole covers.

We cleared out some conifer trees (stumps and roots included) on some raised beds as these were outgrowing the beds and causing damage to the brickwork which was only going to get worse…these were also blocking out a lot of natural light….

We removed an old conservatory that was being used as a storage room and made good to the playground surface.

We then finished off by supplying and laying 6” of screened top soil to extend the grass areas and spread some hard wearing grass seed.

By doing these improvements it massively transformed the overall look of the site.

Here is a job we completed in Kings Lynn a while back….

Total strip and re-surface of a school playground….

We removed all the old cracked and tired asphalt and the overgrown garden in the middle of the playground….

Excavated the spoil and removed all waste from site…..

Mot type 1 was then laid and compacted using a roller to the required height…..

Finished with some 10mm SMA to give a nice clean, fresh, safe area for the children to enjoy playtime.

We trimmed back all overgrown bushes, trees and shrubs around the perimeter fence and behind mobile classrooms etc….

Installed some new black 358 anti climb fencing and gates to keep the children in and secure the school….

We also excavated around the existing climbing frames etc and installed some rubber chip to make the area safer when in use….

Clients were really happy with the outcome and ready for pupils to enjoy after the holidays…
