Surlingham barn lower roof

So after structural engineers conversation and talks with main contractor NSH Developments Ltd we decided the best thing to do was to replace the lower roof .

Works carried out
Strip off old roof .
Replacing and splicing new oak tie beams and creating new oak features.
New wall plate beaded and Kem fix down along with new oak lintel to take the bifold doors .

New common rafters 7,2 with new wall plate Kem fix and bolted to external wall 2by2 fixed at the bottom to create a London tenon .

New veluxs openings created now ready to hand over to the roofer 😍😍

The low level roof at surlingham is very near completion. Just few rafters to go in where the veluxs are . And then detailed oak rafters go in . There has been hurdles along the way with this roof . But Ceejay and Spencer have done a smashing job getting this one over the line for NSH Developments Ltd well done fellas
