🚽💧 SANIFLO LEAK – FAULT FOUND & RECTIFIED

We were contacted by a customer who reported their Saniflo was constantly leaking.

🔎 On arrival, we investigated and found that the Saniflo had previously been installed incorrectly by another contractor, which was allowing water to escape from the sealed unit.

🛠️ We removed the defective installation and supplied and installed a replacement Saniflo correctly, ensuring all connections were properly fitted and sealed.

💧 20 CELL SOAKAWAY INSTALLATION 💧

For this job, we excavated and installed a 20-cell soakaway system, designed to efficiently manage surface water and provide effective drainage from the property’s roof area.

The works included:

🔹 Excavation of the soakaway area
🔹 Installation of 20 soakaway crates
🔹 Geotextile membrane installed around the system
🔹 New underground drainage connections
🔹 Connection of the rainwater pipework
🔹 Correct bedding and surround
🔹 Backfilling and making the area ready for reinstatement

A properly designed soakaway helps manage rainwater at the property, reducing the amount of surface water entering the drainage network and helping prevent localised flooding and waterlogging.

Whether it’s a new soakaway, replacement system or drainage investigation, Flow Plumbing and Drainage can help from excavation through to installation.

💧Leak Located & Repaired!💧

After reports of internal flooding in a commercial kitchen and previous engineer visits failing to resolve the issue, our team attended to investigate.

We carefully traced the problem, located and exposed the leaking pipe, and identified faulty compression fittings as the cause. To provide a long-lasting solution, we replaced the compression fittings with soldered fittings and thoroughly tested the pipework to ensure there were no further leaks.

Another commercial kitchen back up and running with minimal disruption thanks to a proper diagnosis and professional repair.

🔧 Small Repair, Big Impact! 🔧

Not every drainage issue requires major works, but even small faults can cause significant disruption.

We were called to a commercial kitchen where a failed rubber seal had allowed grease to escape, leading to flooding and restricted flow within the pipework.

Our team quickly identified the issue, replaced the damaged seal and affected pipework, and restored the system to full working order with minimal downtime for the customer.

Regular maintenance and prompt repairs can prevent costly damage and keep your business running smoothly.

🚧 Safety First! 🚧

During a recent CCTV survey and condition report, we identified unsafe manhole covers installed over a large septic tank. These covers posed a potential safety risk and were not suitable for their intended use.

Our team replaced them with a more appropriate, heavy-duty cover to ensure the area is safe, secure, and compliant.

Regular inspections can help identify hidden issues before they become serious hazards. If you’d like to arrange a CCTV survey or condition report, get in touch with our team today.
