This week marks Dyslexia Awareness Week and we wanted to acknowledge how important it is that training and testing support operators with dyslexia properly.

Dyslexia doesn’t limit someone’s ability to be a safe, skilled and competent operator, it simply means some parts of learning need to be approached differently.

At NPORS, we design training and assessment so that every learner can show their competence clearly and confidently. Clear instructions, practical learning and a supportive network of instructors help make that possible.

This week is a reminder that good training works for everyone - and that different ways of thinking strengthen our industry.

Last week we attended Lincolnshire Construction & Engineering Week at Lincolnshire Showground, where more than 1,500 students from across the county explored the wide range of careers available in construction and engineering.

We were proud to represent the plant sector, with the NPORS Simulator giving school and college students an immersive, fun and safe introduction to operating plant machinery. The simulator proved incredibly popular, with constant engagement across all three days and plenty of future operators keen to get behind the controls.
