Sensational Bathrooms

📍Northwich, Cheshire

As the main bathroom in this home, the brief was to create a space that felt fresh and contemporary while still sitting naturally alongside the property’s traditional features. We kept the design simple, elegant and understated, combining warm, neutral tones with classic finishes and subtle touches of contrast.

From the traditional oak detailing and soft natural palette to the modern shower enclosure, sleek brassware and rich blue feature tiles, every element was carefully considered to strike the right balance between old and new.

A bathroom that feels modern without feeling out of place.

3 things we'd never overlook when designing a bathroom 👇

When you’re planning a new bathroom, it’s easy to get caught up in the exciting stuff, the tiles, the brassware, the beautiful furniture…

But there are a few things we always consider before any of that.

𝟭. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲

How do you start your morning? Where do you want your towels? What needs to be close to hand? The best layouts aren’t just about making everything fit.

𝟮. 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

It’s not always about how big the room is. It’s about how everything within it relates. The size of the vanity, the position of the bath, the width of the tiles, the scale of the mirror…

𝟯. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

The things you don’t necessarily notice once the bathroom is finished. The preparation, plumbing, waterproofing and installation, are just as important as the beautiful finishes.

Did you consider all of these points? 💬

Luxury isn’t necessarily about how much you spend, it’s about how your bathroom makes you feel ✨

Here are three simple ways we help our customers create that luxurious feeling:

1. Upgrade your brassware
Brassware is something you interact with every day, so choosing a quality finish and beautifully designed taps or showers can make a real difference.

2. Choose better lighting
Lighting can completely change the atmosphere of a room. From functional lighting to softer, warmer options, we can help you plan lighting alongside your bathroom design so the space feels truly luxurious.

3. Don’t do too much
Luxury often comes from simplicity. A considered layout, complementary finishes and clever storage can create a space that feels calm rather than cluttered.

Because a luxury bathroom isn’t defined by its price tag, it’s defined by how it feels to use every day 🫧

We love how this space turned out… a beautifully modern design with warm, natural finishes.

The rustic oak finish vanity and his & hers basins create a real focal point, perfectly complemented by the freestanding bath and sleek walk-in shower.

The result is a space that feels stylish, sophisticated and timeless, without feeling overly contemporary.

How to make a small bathroom feel bigger...

Designing a small bathroom can be challenging, but the right choices can make a compact space feel brighter, more open and far more spacious.

Here are 3 small bathroom design ideas to try:
✨ Lighter colours - reflect light and create a brighter, more open feel.
✨ Wall-hung furniture - keep more of the floor visible to create the illusion of additional space.
✨ Large-format tiles - fewer grout lines mean less visual clutter and a more seamless finish.

You may not be able to change the size of your bathroom, but you can definitely change how spacious it feels.
