This won’t be a straightforward foundation dig, as we have existing drain runs directly through the new footings and will need to be carefully diverted.

Everything has been planned and accounted for before we started. 🔥

It’s been a great project to work on and the clients have been brilliant with us throughout. Always nice to finish a phase with happy clients and get the team together for a photo.

Progress is moving at pace over in Bersham. 🏡

✅ Structural steels installed
✅ Reclaimed Welsh slate roof going on

The extension is really starting to come together now. Using reclaimed slates keeps the new roof in keeping with the character of the existing property, giving it that seamless finish once complete. 🔥

On the home straight at Hartford 🔥

The EPDM roof is complete and all of the aluminium windows, doors and copings are now installed, meaning phase one is officially watertight. 👌

This project is being completed in phases. Phase One focused on constructing the new rear extension and getting the building sealed up before moving on to the next stage.

It's great to see this one taking shape and those black heritage-style frames really finish the look. 👏

Another great week of progress on site 👷‍♂️

The warm deck roof is now complete and ready for the EPDM rubber membrane to be installed next week, bringing us one step closer to getting the extension fully watertight. 🔥

At the same time, the new glazing has started to go in which is always a milestone on any extension. Once the doors and windows are installed, the project really starts to take shape and you can begin to appreciate the finished space. 👀

🏡 Roof Complete, Scaffold Down Tomorrow

Another milestone reached on our Hartford extension project. 🔥

The roof is now fully tiled, ridge complete, leadwork finished and the new gables wrapped with black fascias, giving the extension a crisp, modern finish that complements the existing property.

We're looking forward to showing you the transformation from ground level. 👀

A productive first week on site despite the heat. Great progress from the team already:

✅ Footings excavated and concrete poured
✅ Structural steelwork installed
✅ Drainage and landscaping areas prepared
✅ Splash course now taking shape ready for the brickwork to continue

There's a saying in the trade. If you get the foundations and setting out wrong, it'll definitely be wrong by the time you reach the roof. 👷
