What a lovely morning!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Macmillan Coffee Morning today and helped make it such a success.

We were absolutely spoilt with all the wonderful food! Thank you so much to everyone who baked, cooked or donated cakes, savoury treats and other goodies – they were all delicious and very much appreciated.

And, of course, a big thank you to everyone who came along, donated and helped us raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We still have plenty of treats left, so if you're nearby, pop in and help us finish them!

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Monday 5th October

We’re putting the kettle on and would love you to join us!

On Monday 5th October, we’ll be holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning at Unit 5, raising money to support the fantastic work of Macmillan Cancer Support.

There’ll be plenty of tea, coffee and, most importantly, cake – so pop in, say hello, enjoy a treat and help us raise as much as we can for a brilliant cause.

Whether you’re a customer, trade partner, supplier, friend or just passing by, everyone is welcome.

At Don Smith Blinds, we pride ourselves on finding a window covering solution for even the more unusual windows, and shaped blinds are one of our specialities.

Here are Dave and Nathan installing made-to-measure blinds into this fantastic apex/gable window.

From start to finish, it's all taken care of by us – we measure, our own factory makes the blinds to suit the individual window, and our team returns to professionally fit them.

Just a little reminder ☀️🌡️

Most people open windows when it gets hot, but that can actually make your home uncomfortable.

✅ Close your blinds AND windows during the day to block solar heat
✅ Only ventilate when the outside air is cooler than inside (usually at night)
✅ Start early – don’t wait until the room is already hot
