The Qube has won the design and build tender through a framework delivered by Everything FM.

We are incredibly proud to announce one of our latest contract awards for the Energy Demonstration, Eco Tiny Home for Cirencester College.

Their vision was to kit out a high spec Tiny Home with solar and wind energy systems with monitoring equipment inside so the students could see the energy use as they model different types of occupation.

The Eco Demo Home will be sited at the College and will be used in a variety of ways including showcasing at fairs, shows and walk arounds!

We cannot wait to show you our journey as we design and build the first Eco Tiny Home for Educational purposes!

Site survey? What does this mean..

If you’re happy with our initial phone call and our suggestions for your project, the next step is a site visit ('survey'). This is when we come to your location to gain an understanding of the project. We’ll be looking to work out where the existing services are, what the condition of the ground is, and how we’ll gain access to the site to deliver materials and create a contained and safe site. These are all factors that will go into our plans.

We’ll show you other projects that we’ve completed that we think could work for you, ask a few questions about the space and your requirements for it. We look to leave our site visits with everything we need to give to our design team for a final design.

Meet

Today we introduce Jordan Spittle, Associate Director at The Qube.

Jordan has been with the business since 2017 with a background in Formula 1 (Partnership Management).

Jordan joined the family-business initially to assist Mick and the team with marketing and business processes and has since led mainly on business development and strategy, bringing new products and services to market in the meantime.

When he isn't at work you can find him on the golf course or watching the mighty Saints!

Although the majority of our previous 200 builds have been within the education sector, we do cater for sports industries, leisure and hospitality, as well as commercial!

Go and check out the Elsea Park Community Trust Qube Pavilion which was only 10 weeks on-site.

The building consisted of:
• Main club room👍🏼
• Kitchen with serving hatch🍲
• Manager’s office😮‍💨
• 2x changing rooms🎽
• Officials changing room👔
• Accessible toilets🚻

The versatility of SIP roof panels means you can install them as part of a wider SIP construction.

This is Battersea Cats and Dog home which is used as a dog training centre and feature a single-ply flat roof.

The client vision for this project was to create a peaceful retreat for the whole family, where individuals with additional and complex needs are welcomed and understood so that the whole family can relax and enjoy some quality time together.

A place that not only welcomes everyone but also offers work experience opportunities for young adults with additional needs and positive role models for the children who visit them.

The Qube is a stand-alone, modular structure comprising of one main, open-plan café and seating area, multiple therapy rooms, toilets and a changing places facility.

Lorna, the farm owner said:

'The planners were concerned at how the building might look on the hill but the building blends in perfectly with our surroundings. Mason and the projects team really took the pressure off us and worked around any issues we had with constant communication, and the standard of work is excellent.’
