I get many calls from young people asking if I take on apprentices.(I don't BTW) Most are polite and I let them know that.
Just had a call from a young man who when I answered the call said "Do you take on apprentices?"
I then asked who was calling giving him the opportunity to introduce himself again.
He responded with "I was wondering if you guys take on apprentices?"
His voice sounded like he could not be arsed at all.
I told him I do not and he promptly put the phone down.
I can safely say without basic manners he won't be getting employed by anybody!
I get it's frustrating trying to get a job but if you happen see this then you really aren't helping yourself.

Shout out to all the Customers and potential customers that respond to quotes given. Doesn't take 20 seconds to reply to a quote even if it's a 'No thank you'.
I don't expect to win all jobs of course but I do not appreciate being ignored when I have answered your request.
The amount of people that either totally ignore you after getting a price, give you the old 'I'll let you know' 'I'll get back to you' rubbish. (all trades know exactly what this means BTW)
You have our availability and cost what is there to let know?
If you don't want to pay the going rate just say and maybe try a handyman rather than an electrician👍
