The Ecton project Bathrooms 🛁

Part 2 of this project is the bathrooms, sticking with the old cottage style there was no other choice than the heritage look!

Victorian style sanitary ware, metro tiles and a shaker cabinet brings this cottage back to life!

The Ecton project part 1

We began this project a while back now, but the end result was worth the wait! This stunning cottage took a lot of work but it was stripped back to nothing and we started again from scratch!

Starting with the heating system, a Worcester 4000 combi boiler was installed in the airing cupboard with a vertical flue out the roof!

The developer opted for radiators on the first floor & then underfloor heating on the ground floor and in the two out buildings, each area on its own zone controlled by its own thermostat!

Part 2 and more of the second fix to follow 💪

Full heating system & conversion 👊

This week we’ve been working hard to get this job over the line, we carried out a full heating system install with all new copper pipework ran in the loft with individual drops supplying each radiator!

We also did a system conversion as this property never had gas installed until now, the old system was an electric boiler with an unvented cylinder and the only source of heat was one towel rail! With it being a bungalow with one bathroom and single occupancy, a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler was the way forward!

Fitted with a filter, shock arrestor and limescale reducer, wireless thermostat and 8 years warranty. Bringing peace of mind for the customer, all new radiators and pipework this house is ready for this winter and many more to come 💪

Column radiator issue 🔧

One of the most common issues we see with these radiators is they pull off the wall, this is due to poor installation and the wrong fixings used for the weight of the radiator!

The new DDA is the way forward with these heavy radiators 💪! The last thing you want in your house is a live radiator coming off the wall!

After a quick drain down, new fixings in the wall and it’s all sorted!
