Today was one of those days where experience and fault-finding really mattered.

We were contacted by a customer in the Northallerton area whose boiler had been making an incredibly loud banging noise for months. Several companies had already attended and advised either a full boiler replacement or thousands of pounds worth of parts.

After carrying out our own investigations, we were confident the boiler itself wasn’t actually the issue.

The real problem was severe blockages within the heating pipework, preventing heat from circulating properly around the system and causing the boiler to kettle violently.

Today we:• Removed sections of blocked pipework• Replaced old single-panel radiators with new double-panel radiators• Carried out a full chemical power flush of the central heating system

The result?A quiet boiler, properly circulating heating system, and for the first time in months, the customer has a warm home again — even in the middle of May.

Sometimes the answer isn’t replacing everything. Sometimes it’s experience, diagnosis, and taking the time to find the real fault.
