We have carried out a fair few fuse board upgrades within last month following EICR inspections and customer requests 😊. We don't just change them for the sake of it - we assess the condition of the boards, operation of devices, breaker sizing, and consumer unit condition. If it's more efficient to upgrade than repair, we give customers 2 options... 9 times out of 10 they opt for a new 18th Edition unit with up-to-date protection 👍.

We recently carried out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at a property that desperately needed attention 😊. Issues found included:
- Broken ring circuit with damaged conductors
- No earthing to Class 1 metal light switches
- No proper earth - relying on water main (not a reliable means of earthing)
- Damaged lights throughout

We sorted it 👍:
- Upgraded to TT earthing system with earth rod/chamber installed(17 ohms - well within maximum permitted values👍)
- New fuse board with Type A 30mA RCBOs, surge protection
-mains switch and enclosure installed for means of isolation
- Earthing to gas pipe & Class 1 switches
- New pendant drops, fire-rated downlights
- Tested & certified
