🚨 We’re hiring: Civil Design Engineer | Power Generation & Industrial Projects🚨

Copius Group is looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer to support the delivery of major power generation, energy and large-scale industrial projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with a strong civil and structural design background who is comfortable taking design packages from concept through detailed design, construction support and final handover.

You’ll work across technically complex projects, with responsibilities including:
• Reinforced concrete, equipment and machinery foundations
• Industrial buildings, slabs, plinths and retaining structures
• Roads, hardstandings, drainage and stormwater systems
• Underground services, trenches, pits and utility corridors
• Design calculations, specifications and construction drawings
• Geotechnical review and foundation selection
• Multidisciplinary coordination across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
• BIM/CAD coordination and design reviews
• Technical support during construction, including RFIs and site engineering queries

We’re particularly interested in candidates with 5+ years’ relevant experience across sectors such as power generation, energy, data centres, utilities, oil & gas, petrochemical, process or heavy industrial projects.

Experience in areas such as CCGT or gas-fired power plants, BESS, substations, renewable energy, energy-from-waste, turbine foundations or EPC/design-and-build environments would be a strong advantage.

Knowledge of Eurocodes and recognised international engineering standards is important, while experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Tekla, STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar packages would also be beneficial.

We’re looking for an experienced Plumber / Gas & Oil Engineer to join our team, covering Newtownabbey and surrounding areas.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience, plus:

We’re looking for someone with strong plumbing and heating experience, good fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently across domestic and commercial properties.

You’ll be carrying out a mix of:
• Plumbing, heating and gas repairs
• Boiler servicing, breakdowns and installations
• Central heating and hot water system work
• General plumbing installations and maintenance
• Fault-finding and diagnostics

We are urgently looking for 12 GRP Operatives / Laminators for a major project in Cambridge.

This is an excellent contract opportunity with strong hours, an 11-day work pattern and competitive rates.

🔵Start: ASAP / next available site induction
🔵Location: Cambridge
🔵Duration: Approx. 5 months
🔵Working pattern: 11-day rotation / 106 hours per fortnight
🔵Rates: £23.45 basic, £32.83 OT1, £42.21 OT2
🔵Bonus payment will be discussed
🔵11-day gross wage: Approx. £3,168.40 including bonus
🔵Accommodation / travel allowance: Provided where applicable

We require operatives with experience in GRP pipework, GRP ducting, fiberglass laminating or hand lay-up work.

Relevant experience includes:
🔵GRP pipework installation
🔵GRP ducting installation
🔵GRP hand lay-up / wet lay-up
🔵Fibreglass laminating
🔵Preparing and laminating joints
🔵Resin and glass fibre work
🔵Mould making / workshop laminating
🔵Vehicle body building
🔵Marine / boatbuilding laminating
🔵Composite repairs
🔵GRP / FRP tanks, linings, panels or enclosures

The main work will involve preparing and laminating site joints using resin and glass fibre on GRP ducting and pipework. Main ducting sizes are 600mm and 400mm, with smaller offtakes down to 100mm. Pipework will be set in pre-installed supports.

If you have hands-on experience with resin, glass fibre, laminating, moulds, joints, pipework, ductwork or fibreglass repairs, we want to speak with you.
Candidates must be reliable, available quickly and able to work to site specifications.
