Last Saturday marked the 50th anniversary of the Viking Way, and we were pleased to play a small part in the celebrations with the installation of a new bench in Woodhall Spa. 🌳

RSM Maintenance helped prepare the area by strimming and assisted with the installation wherever needed.

The bench has been beautifully carved by Simon and provides a great new spot for walkers to stop and enjoy the route.

And this is just the start, keep an eye out for more benches appearing across Lincolnshire!

Efficiency is key when managing the Roadside Nature Reserves.

Following the grass cutting, our grab lorry is used to quickly and efficiently load the cuttings and remove them from site. Using the right machinery for each stage of the work helps us keep operations moving and ensures the RNRs are left clear and well managed.

From heatwave to heavy rain 🌧️

After weeks of hot weather, the change in conditions has been dramatic. With heavy downpours increasing the risk of flooding, our team is getting prepared and ready to respond.

Our crews are busy filling sandbags and making sure everything is in place should they be needed. Being prepared means we can respond quickly when the call comes. 🚧

The Aebi 282 is being used to maintain Roadside Nature Reserves (RNRs) across Lincolnshire, where selecting machinery suited to the environment is essential.

Its wide, low-pressure tyres distribute the machine’s weight over a larger area, helping to reduce ground pressure and minimise soil compaction while protecting the sward.

Investing in the right machinery enables us to carry out RNR maintenance efficiently while minimising the impact on the ground and surrounding habitat.

Pedestrian Flail Refresher Training 🌿

Our team has completed refresher training in the safe and effective operation of pedestrian flail equipment, ensuring their knowledge and skills remain up to date and maintaining high standards across our operations.

SSSI maintenance work being carried out using our Aebi slope tractor, fitted with a rear-mounted grass collector.

The Aebi’s low ground pressure makes it well suited to sensitive sites, helping to minimise ground disturbance during operations. The collected arisings are formed into piles ready for collection and removal from site.

Using specialist machinery allows us to carry out vegetation management efficiently while maintaining the required standards for sensitive environments.

☀️ Summer Party 2026 🎉

A great day with the team, their families and friends, with plenty of food, drinks and entertainment throughout the day.

A big thank you to The Pit & Platter for keeping everyone fed, Madame Crêpe for the delicious crêpes and The Tipsy Imp for keeping the drinks flowing from the afternoon right through to the evening. 🍔🥞🍻

Improving access through practical maintenance.

Our team recently completed footpath improvement works in Finedon, Northampton, widening the existing path and removing the build-up of mud and vegetation that had reduced the usable width.

Using a combination of machinery and manual finishing, the route was restored to provide a cleaner, safer and more accessible path for the public. Delivering high-quality maintenance that helps keep local infrastructure in good condition is at the heart of what we do.
