Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to enquire about the possibility of creating a small community garden or memorial green space within the local area in memory of my friend, Taylor Downing, who sadly lost his life following a long struggle with alcohol addiction.
The aim of the project would be to create a peaceful and positive space for the community to enjoy, whilst also raising awareness of addiction, recovery, mental health, and the importance of supporting those who may be struggling. As a local landscaping contractor, I would be keen to donate my time, skills, and where possible organise volunteers and local businesses to assist with the creation and ongoing maintenance of the space.
Rather than simply serving as a memorial, the garden would be intended as a lasting symbol of hope, recovery, and community support for those facing difficult times.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to discuss whether there may be a suitable location or any guidance on how such a project could be progressed within the local area.
